Valeria has 14 years experience in the field of innovation and consultancy projects focussed on sustainability and energy efficiency of the built environment. She graduated at the University of Genova and got her PhD with a thesis on the effects of disorder in the multi-band structure of Magnesium Diboride thin films.

Valeria joined the R&D division of IES Ltd in 2013 where she dealt with EU funded research, setting up partnerships and writing proposals. Valeria now leads the consultancy activities and projects that involve the new IES Digital Twinning technology, the intelligent Community Lifecycle (ICL).
