Mark Bramah
Change and Sustainability Project Manager, Rochdale Borough Council
Mark is the Climate Change and Sustainability Project Manager for Rochdale Borough Council. His role is to lead on improving sustainability and reducing the borough’s carbon footprint to realise health, social, economic and environmental co benefits. He supports the preparation, implementation and monitoring of an overarching sustainability and carbon reduction strategy for the borough of Rochdale as well as ensuring that the Council fulfils its obligations under the Greater Manchester Environment Plan.
Prior to joining Rochdale Council in December 2020, Mark was a management consultant who worked on renewable and sustainable energy projects for local authorities. He also previously worked for the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) as the Assistant Chief Executive and was instrumental in setting up ‘APSE Energy’ a collaboration of over 60 UK local authorities with the aim of remunicipalising energy services and supporting the important role of councils in the energy transition and achieving net zero.
Mark is a member of the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA) and the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA).
